How do i prevent or cover grey hair other than dye or a cap? please help.?

Hey, you forgot about wigs, too. Just kidding. I understand your reluctance to dye your hair, the whole problem with roots being a different color and such-

i am really a low maintenance person but didnt want to have that patch of grey that is getting larger at my temples- so i have found that instead of dying my whole head of hair, i purchase a semi-permanent ( says level 2 on the box- washes out in 10-20 shampoos- it is not a type that has to be mixed together to activate, so i can use one bottle for a few months - I use Clairol loving care but there are other brands too- even if you are a guy, i think it would work for you) hair color that is as close as a match to my own color. I put it on the grey only with a toothbrush and let it sit for the 30 min or so that the instructions call for - with a plastic cap on, the grey is very resistant to absorbing color and the heat from your head helps.... then wash out as usual. It lasts like a month, doesnt make roots, and blends in quite nicely and looks natural. I know you didnt want dye, but this is a good method that works that is inexpensive and effective. GL

To check graying of hair, mix lemon juice in olive oil, beat till frothy and apply on scalp and wash off after an hour. Premature graying of hair can be postponed by using a strong decotion of black tea and a tablespoon of salt, strain and apply to the roots for 45 minutes and wash with water. Don't shampoo.
